I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
